Music is an old friend here: in Arezzo there is in fact a musical junior school, a secondary one with a musical section and there is even the so called Palace of Music! No wonder, as Arezzo is where Guido, a Benedictine monk, lived for a while about one thousand years ago and here he revolutionised musical notation so as to let people immediately write and read music very quickly; therefore his full name is Guido d’Arezzo.
